Doorways

Doorways have fascinated me. It’s one of my favorite hash tags on Instagram. The artistry, character, and voice of a doorway is unique to each one. Some immediately offer welcome, while others evoke warnings, or unwelcome. Doorways represent those liminal, transitional spaces that mark movement from one reality to another. They turn on hinges of every sort to open up new opportunities.

We all pass through symbolic doorways or liminal spaces of life. “Hinge events” open us up to a new season, or a new way of thinking or being. What doorways are you facing in your life? Are they welcoming or unwelcoming? How are you discerning whether to enter or walk away?
