Liturgy of Ordinary Days

Liturgy of Ordinary Days

Whether we pay attention to it or not, we all live by a certain rhythm and liturgy in our ordinary life. The rising sequence of the day, coffee, prayer, toast and praise. We stretch and greet the day in our own peculiar way. But when we set intention to our rhythm, and offer our steps to the One who created rhythms of day and night, waking and sleeping, darkness and light, seasons and earth cycles, then ordinary life becomes a holy liturgy that orders our days.

Tending to these rhythms and seasons are vital to tending to our spiritual life. And in the ebb and flow, we find ways of opening heart, mind, and body to the Divine possibility of meaning. Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and times in between, I love to set aside time to observe my days, to observe how I’ve met the challenges, and welcomed the joys, but above all, to see how God has met me in it all.

That’s why I create space and time not only for myself but to invite others to join me in an hour or two at pivot points throughout the year. One such space and time will happen on June 19th when we gather at the start of summer to receive, reflect and respond to the invitations that we uncover through our time of quiet contemplation, prayer, journaling and sharing on the journey.

I hope you join us to find your own rhythm and liturgy to your days. Find out more. here.
